Description

Quat 188 is an aqueous solution of N-(3-chloro-2-hydroxypropyl) trimethylammonium chloride. It is an effective
cationic monomer used to modify natural and synthetic polymers to produce quaternary ammonium compounds with a broad array of end uses.

1 . Paper Chemicals
Cationic reagent is an important additive in the paper industry, widely used in starch, cellulose,
chitosan, and other chemical modification. The cationic starch modified by cationic reagent can be used as paper surface sizing, retention, drainage aids, enhancers, etc., and is a kind of largely consumed papermaking additive.
2 . Textile Industry
(3 - chloro-2-hydroxypropyl) trimethyl ammonium chloride-modified cotton fibers improve their adhesion to the dye; the cationic starch can be used as a warp sizing agent after the reaction of starch.
