Ulike the straight-chain structure of solid KAD, this liquid AKD has a branched-chain structure.

As a new type of surface sizing agent, liquid AKD has been proven through long-term practice to deliver remarkable results, especially in high-quality paper pulps like cultural paper. It can reduce the use of solid AKD by approximately 20%. The effect is slightly less pronounced in corrugated and containerboard papers, where it can reduce solid AKD usage by about 10%.

Product Description

This product is a liquid alkyl ketene dimer (AKD), produced through the same synthesis process as solid alkyl ketene dimer (AKD). The difference lies in the raw materials used: liquid AKD is derived from monomer acids, while solid AKD is made from stearic acid.
Liquid AKD cannot be used independently; it must be blended with solid AKD.
